Banjo Road – Goblin Kit Car

Thank you to everyone who supported the Goblin Kit Car Banjo Road event. It was a wet and wild day but the atmosphere was great and the children worked really well as a team. The next event is the Gathering of Goblins at Goodwood motor circuit on 12 July, hopefully the weather will have improved by then!


South East in Bloom competition

Thank you to all parents who donated plants for our entry into the South East in Bloom competition. Year 6 spent their time in Growing Club this week potting up hanging baskets and pots to be placed around the school.sebloom1 All parents are invited to take part in an allotment tidy up on Saturday 6 June at 9.30 am, before judging for the competition which takes place on Wednesday 10 June.


Forest School -Year 4

Year 4 were the first class to have a Forest School session last week. An area of land between the cemetery and the school field has been cleared and a fire circle with tree stump stools created. They had a fantastic day, working as a team to build dens, sourcing wood and chopping wood in order to build a fire. The session finished with hot chocolate for all.

Each class will have a chance to participate in a Forest School session this term organised and run by Stuart Slade –


Year 6 Sats

Year 6 Sats start on Monday 11 May running through until Thursday 14. There will be breakfast held in the hall from 8.25 on each of those days, that all year 6 children are welcome to attend.

Sussex Delancy UK Chess Challenge

On May 3 a number of St Philips children represented the school in the Sussex Delanctorriny UK Chess Challenge. All who participated did well, winning at least one of their matches. Special mention must go to Torrin who won all of her matches and qualified for the Gigafinals in Reading later in the year.
