Thank you to everyone who supported the Goblin Kit Car Banjo Road event. It was a wet and wild day but the atmosphere was great and the children worked really well as a team. The next event is the Gathering of Goblins at Goodwood motor circuit on 12 July, hopefully the weather will have improved by then!
Thank you to all parents who donated plants for our entry into the South East in Bloom competition. Year 6 spent their time in Growing Club this week potting up hanging baskets and pots to be placed around the school. All parents are invited to take part in an allotment tidy up on Saturday 6 June at 9.30 am, before judging for the competition which takes place on Wednesday 10 June.
Year 4 were the first class to have a Forest School session last week. An area of land between the cemetery and the school field has been cleared and a fire circle with tree stump stools created. They had a fantastic day, working as a team to build dens, sourcing wood and chopping wood in order to build a fire. The session finished with hot chocolate for all.
Each class will have a chance to participate in a Forest School session this term organised and run by Stuart Slade – www.stuartsladeforestschool.co.uk
Year 6 Sats start on Monday 11 May running through until Thursday 14. There will be breakfast held in the hall from 8.25 on each of those days, that all year 6 children are welcome to attend.
