Earlier this month Year 6 went to the PGL centre at Marchants Hill, near Hindhead. This is how one student summed up her time away: ‘On the 2nd November Class 6 went to Marchants Hill PGL and stayed for 3 days and did 8 activities like zip-wire, trapeze and climbing wall. The class got split into 3 groups. The enthusiastic and happy group leader’s name was Miriam. She took everyone to the activities and led the bonfire and the Great Egg race. The trip was a big success because everyone loved it and had a great time at all the activities. This is a wonderful place where your fears are faced and you can make memories that last forever’.
Children from st. Philip’s joined other children from schools locally to take part in the events shown live on television during Children in Need 2015. The choir of 100 children from different schools joined together to sing ‘The Climb’ on National television and ‘Happy’ on South Today.
