Year 5 visit Chichester Planetarium

planet1planet2On Friday 5th February, class 5 visited the planetarium in Chichester as part of their space topic. They went into the star theatre and learnt all about the solar system and star constellations. After lunch they explored the planetarium. A big thank you to everyone who works at the Planetarium for making the day so enjoyable.

As a school we applied for some of the rocket seeds that Tim Peake took into space, we heard today that we will be receiving some! This is really exciting news and means that we will have to create a controlled experiment space to see how normal rocket seeds grow compared to those that have been to the Space Station!

Year 3 Forest school

Year 2 recently had their termly Forest School session. Thankfully the weather was kind and they were able to explore the topic of ‘natural art’. As usual they finished their session with hot chocolate around the camp fire.ff 001

Entrance display

We have a lovely new display in our entrance foyer – every member of the school community is pictured,  clustered around the school building, with Mrs Horne at the centre. All the pupils seem very proud of their handiwork and are keen that their parents come in and ‘find them’entrance on the display.
