Lent Penitential Liturgy

Children in Key Stage 2 shared a Penitential Liturgy last week, led by the Year 6 children. Canon Tim, Fr. Charles and Fr. Stan stayed in the hall with those children who wanted to take part in the individual sacrament of reconciliation.

The start of Lent was marked by the celebration of Ash Wednesday and the pupils, who are religious education ambassadors, assisted the priest by distributing ashes to the younger children in the school.

We now look to Holy Week when all classes are involved in leading a liturgy to the school, with their partner classes, reflecting on the events of the passion and death of Jesus Christ.

Jump Start Jonny

As a school we have been enjoying the exercise videos that Jumpstart Jonny uploads to his website for some time. This week however, we welcomed him into school where he led sessions for all classes. These sessions were fast, energetic and fun, with everyone, staff and students enjoying the pace.  IMG_4200
