Hazel in Year 6 made the brave decision to have her long hair cut short and donate it to The Little Princess Trust. This charity provides real hair wigs free of charge to children across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
As well as donating her own hair, her parents helped her to set up a ‘Just Giving’ page, where they managed to raise over £300 in donations from friends and family. Hazel was presented with her certificate in the Celebration Assembly and explained to the school why she had chosen to donate and explained to the children what the charity does.

Today we started our ‘Lunchtime Lego Club’ This is a fantastic opportunity for children from all year groups to work together to build their own Lego creations. It allows a relaxed environment for the children to chat and collaborate on creative projects while supported by a member of staff. The children have great fun and have already come up with some exciting Lego projects
Today we celebrated our beginning of school year Mass in the school hall. Fr Charles from Storrington Parish led us in the Mass and children read prayers and readings.
The theme of the mass was ‘Follow me and I will make you fishers of men’ Matthew 4:19. At the end of the mass each class took a picture of a boat or a net that will be decorated and children will write the ways in which they will follow Jesus throughout the school year.
