School Councillors visit Town Hall

Each half term the School Council meets to discuss issues and share ideas  about how we can improve the school. Two children from each class represent their year group. Before the meetings, they ask the children what they would like to have discussed – these range from play equipment to having mixed class reading sessions.

On Monday 13th March, the School Councillors were lucky enough to visit Arundel Town Hall where they held their half termly meeting. The Mayor James Stewart kindly joined the children and explained to them about how the Town Council runs and the jobs that the Mayor has to do. The children were also lucky enough to hold the Mayor’s mace. They had a fantastic time and thank you to Mrs Roderick for hosting and to Mrs Abbott for holding our half termly meetings.
